The Heartland Construction Group, Inc is a local general contractor specializing in mid-to-high end residential and commercial projects in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The company was founded utilizing the resources of Bell Construction, Inc, where Rick Easty served as President and Co-Owner for over eleven years. The Heartland Construction Group, Inc combines hands-on project management with skilled in-house trades to deliver high quality custom work with excellence in each project. Projects range in scope and size from $20,000 to $5,000,000. The company is built with a foundation of experience, beginning with Rick Easty’s thirty-plus years in the construction business, resulting in an eye for quality and superior attention to detail. The values instilled in each employee originate from Rick's upbringing in a family carpentry and general contracting business. Following completion of a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, Rick developed his skills as a Project Manager with Combustion Engineering, Mobil Oil, and Horwitz-Matthews. In 1991, a business partnership grew into Bell Construction, Inc, a successful company serving a wide variety of clients. Project quality is controlled by directly employing key tradesmen on every project. Completing challenging and intricate work sets the company apart from others. An office location just West of downtown Chicago gives allows us quick response times for project and customer needs. Previous residential projects include high-end work in some of the tallest buildings in Chicago, new luxury single-family homes, and renovations and additions to structures dating back to the Civil War. Various commercial projects consist of mid-rise shell-and-core work, cutting-edge restaurants and nightclubs, medical and dental offices, sound studios, and microbreweries. In the year of 2001, Rick's resume included being elected as the design-build contractor for building the sculptural installations by Tobias Rehberger at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
